Here at Kewl Kennel, producing happy, healthy puppies is our number one priority.  We use the highest quality vaccines and worming medications.  Puppies receive their first worming at 2 weeks of age and are then wormed every two weeks with Pyran 50, until shipped.  Due to the humidity here in Missouri, parasites can become quite a problem. Puppies and adults receive Albon to prevent coccidia and giardia.  Vaccination starts at 5 weeks of age with Parvovirus; 5-way is given at 6  &  8 weeks; Bordetella is given at 7 weeks of age.  At 12 weeks, they take a trip to our vet for their rabies vaccine.  All of our puppies are vet checked before they are shipped to ensure they are healthy. 

 Royal Canin Starter puppy food is our food of choice for our puppies.  This has proven to be the best food we have found.  You can find Royal Canin Starter at most pet supply stores. 

At 6 weeks of age, our puppies are introduced to puppy food.  At 6 1/2 to 7 weeks of age, we begin to wean our puppies from their mama.  They will spend half of their day away from mama and then put back with her for the other half of the day, for 7 days.  This helps them to get accustomed to being away from her, yet not all at once. 

All of our pens and whelping house are cleaned on a daily basis with biodegradable cleaners and disinfectants.  Clean bedding is changed daily in the whelping house where our whelping mamas and puppies are housed.  Dishes are changed daily.

All of our puppies and dogs are given love and attention throughout each day.  Special play time is set aside at the end of the day.  Is there a better way to end your day?
